With a Master of Public Health (MPH) from AIIMS, Jodhpur, and a Bachelor's in nursing (Hons), Ms. Ashu Ranga brings a comprehensive approach to the field of public health combined with clinical insight having worked with AIIMS, New Delhi as a Nursing Officer for over a year.
Before taking over her current designation as a consultant in the division, she, as a part of the Model Health District Initiative, was posted in the State of Jharkhand as a Fellow where the division focussed on three districts, i.e., East Singbhum, West Singbum and Gumla of the State. She also supported the implementation of the Public Health Management Cadre along with the newer initiatives of GoI, i.e., ECRP, 15th Finance Commission, & PM-ABHIM and other projects of NHM during her deputation in the State.
At NHSRC, she has contributed to the formulation of various National Health Guidelines such as the Indian Public Health Standards 2022, Booklet on Public Health Management Cadre (PHMC), Operational Guidelines for HDUs & ICUs, Integrated Public Health Laboratory (IPHL), to name a few along with a recent revision of CEmONC & LSAS curriculum. Her designation entails her providing regular technical and consultation support to the States/ UTs in the public health infrastructure strengthening, assessment of the public healthcare facilities required as per the conditionality framework for achieving IPHS 2022 compliance in at least 50 % of the IPHS facilities and support to UTs specifically for the implementation of PHMC.
