Tarannum is a public health professional with expertise in Implementation Research for Health System Strengthening (IRHSS). At NHSRC, she strengthens and facilitates efforts to bridge the gap between research and practice, focusing on generating evidence to inform policy and improve health system performance. Dr. Ahmed specializes in designing and evaluating implementation strategies, promoting innovation, and enhancing the scalability of interventions within the healthcare system. Much of her work emphasizes strengthening rural and underserved health systems, fostering equitable access to quality healthcare through robust, evidence-based solutions. Her main research interests are in primary care, non-communicable diseases and adult and child mental health.
